By feeling all these emotions, it helps you understand how precious human life is....
apperance;; Why don’t we start from the top and work out way down. Ursa use to have beautiful, long black hair that was regularly washed by the servants of the palace that she lived within’. She always kept it from her face, however, with living in the earth kingdom, it seems to have dulled from lack of proper care. She does manage to keep it from her face, allowing her amber colored eyes to show upon her face. Her skin use to be a bit lighter, since she went outside in long sleeves compared to after she was banished and it darken slightly due to the constant outside exposure.
The beautiful fire princess is about five foot, five inches tall, putting her a few inches below her eldest child and about an inch over her youngest child. At one point in her life time, she was blessed with beautiful clothing that only the most royal people wore, however, now she wears only simple clothes, mostly colored in natural, earthy colors. She wears no form of make-up to hide any blemishes and she keeps her hair into a bun or other form of keeping her hair from her face.
The older woman now has rough feet and hands from working hard in the land that she lives in.
personality;; The royal woman has always been a sweet person, from the moment she was born. As a child she was sweet and she cared about everything around her. As she grew, this became more apparent in her personality. It also became apparent that she was very accepting and patient with everyone she came into contact with. When she was told by her mother and father that she was placed in an arranged marriage with the Prince of the Fire Nation, she took this as a sign of great things and acknowledged with great acceptance. Knowing her own grandfather would want her to be happy and taken care of, she married the man who unknowingly would become the Fire Lord.
As a mother, Ursa was very protective and caring to her own children. She had a particular need to protect her only son and in a way, held favoritism over him. Her life was dedicated to protecting him. Though she loved her son very much, she always loved her daughter, Azula, though it was a relationship that was strained. Her daughter abuse towards others was something the Fire Princess could not understand at all and she constantly had to discipline her daughter more than her son. She knew her daughter’s cruelty was beyond normal and it worried the young mother. Ursa loved her daughter very much and seeing her abuse personality hurt the Fire Princess and she tried very hard to correct it… But it was a pointless hope.
The relationship with her husband started out very well, however, since it was an arranged marriage, the love was much different. The love was more of Fondness and because they were the parents of their children. Ursa cared a lot about her husband, however, their different personalities and goals caused their relationship to become strained and even caused them to be pushed apart. Ursa still loves her husband, but she knows there is little to no hope for him loving her.

history;; The fire nation woman was born in a small town known as Hira’a, as most the people from the village were from the Island that Avatar Roku died protecting. Since she was the granddaughter of the last Avatar she was treated was a lot of respect, even by the Fire Lord of that time. She was royalty and it helped also that her mother’s own family was royal as well. As a very really age, her father and the Fire Lord at the time arranged for Ursa and the second son to be married. She grew up with the children of her small town and began fire bending at a very young age. No one really knew why she was picked to be the wife to the fire prince, though it was thought that it was because of whom her grandfather was. As a child bender, she excelled at her bending abilities but she had her own style which worried many around her.
What is this style? Well, it is very simple… She held no rage or anger when she was bending. She was strong and she didn’t need such emotions to fuel her ability and she became better and better, even using it to play with and laugh. It was different and those around her thought it was unnatural until she excelled to the point of beating her own master. She was reward for such an achievement and she caught the eyes of the Fire Lord Azulon, whom wanted the marriage pushed up. Luckily her father managed to deter the pushing up of the wedding, stating that there were other areas of her life she needed to be taught and it would take that time. However, time did not just stop and soon the day was upon them.
It was upon a Spring day that Ozai and his father came to the small village so that they could met the young girl. Azulon didn’t want a crowded city to be the place for a future romance and wedding, so he went to Hira’a. The young woman met her soon to be husband and they enjoyed a few days together before the wedding. Ursa found herself growing very fond of the young man, though it was not a love that her own parents shared. Finally, the wedding took place and she moved to the capital with her new husband and they moved into their home which was close to the palace. Soon, her first born child was born, a son whom they named Zuko. Two years later, they were gifted with another child, a daughter whom they named after the Fire Lord, Azulon by naming her Azula. Ursa quickly saw how Ozai favored his second child over his first child and she felt the need to care for Zuko a bit more.
As her children grew, she took many memories from their vacation spot at Ember Island and she felt that everything was going well for her family. However, a space grew between her husband and herself and she felt them growing apart due to their different personalities as well as their different views. Ursa had very rarely used firebending after getting married, but when the separation grew between them she went out into the private court yard and used her firebending more and more. She felt that something was coming and it was not long that it came. It was while her husband’s brother was in the earth kingdom and he was fighting the earth Kingdom. He had sent presents to his niece and nephew and had spoken about the war in great wonder. However, not long after receiving the letter, another arrived with the news of the death of Lu Ten, her nephew and the withdrawal from the war.
While mourning, Ozai went a servant to tell Ursa to ready the children because he had a council with his father, the Fire Lord. Ursa did as she was told, preparing the children for the meeting with their Fire Lord and prepared herself. Soon, they entered the chambers of the Fire Lord and Ozai allowed his daughter to show her advance firebending. She was proud of her daughter, but her son tried next and it showed that he was not nearly as advanced as his sister, whom strived to be better than her brother. Ursa was still pleased with her son, but the three were soon beckoned out by the Fire Lord and Ursa stood and left the chambers.
Later that came night, she overhead a confrontation with Azula and Zuko, stopping it before anything else could be said and taking Azula away to speak to her. It was during this time she found out what happened after she left and she was horrified. She went to Ozai, begging him not to go through with the murder of her own son, the heir to the throne… He came up with one solution… She hated it and she could not believe that she would carry through this plan… That night, she went to the palace and entered the chambers of the Fire Lord… After fighting him in a Duel, she managed to get the upper hand and get him to give rights to the throne to Ozai and then she killed him. She hated herself for it and ran back to her home, changing her clothes, grabbing a black cloak and saying good bye to her own son, Zuko before leaving her home. She managed to grab a porch full of money and leave…
Upon the arrival in the Earth Kingdom, she traded her own money for some Earth Kingdom coins and moved throughout the port town. She bought some new clothes and a cloak before purchasing a simple cart and a dragon moose… She also came across a stray dog within’ her first few days that had been injured by some firebenders for fun. After caring for his wounds he became her guardian in a way. The simple cart was not only her mode of transportation but her home for the first leg of her journey. During this journey she had to find other means to protect herself, even joining a small group that was traveling south some. Finally, they came across the plains village… During her many months, her eyes had been commented upon and her running story was the same in order to keep people guessing… “My mother was an earth nation citizen whom was raped by a fire nation warrior…” The story was enough to cover her amber eyes that were common for fire nation citizens. It was the only story people would truly believe and she was able to live peacefully.
After many months of doing odd jobs and gaining enough money to allow her to travel, she fixed her wagon of all problems that it had gained through the first year and moved through the mountain pass to Gaoling. It was a village that was very strong economy wise and she knew she would be able to make a living here. She managed to pay a farm enough money for a few months in his barn with her moose dragon and dog and she found work. She found work at a small shop that sold clothing and she was able to make tea to bring in extra customers and money for herself. It got around that she was a wonderful tea maker, like her brother-in-law, and she was hired by a shop owner who wanted to see how good she was. This allowed her to pay the farmer for another few months in the barn and focus on raising more money for herself to move into a nicer home… It was surviving…
Ever since then she had survived in this city, gained a small home on the outskirts of the city and continued working for the tea shop… She was in the city when the avatar came, but she kept as far away from him as possible, having heard word that her son was chasing him. She wanted so badly to follow the reports, but she kept herself away, knowing it was only cause problems and she didn’t want to bring Ozai looking for her because she was banished… She wasn’t allowed to reveal whom she really was.
Aang, our actions always have an effect,
sometimes positive, sometimes negative... and sometimes not for many lifetimes.
